The 29th Wellington Monument Bert King Memorial Road Race will take place on Sunday 20th December 2015, starting at 10.30am. It starts at The Catherine Wheel Public House in the village square at Hemyock, and finishes at Hemyock County Primary School. It is open to all aged 16 years or over on race day, but unfortunately the course is unsuitable for wheelchairs.
The John Cooksley Memorial Team Challenge Shield is open to teams of four (including mixed teams), and there are awards for overall male and female winners, and for the first local and Junior male and female runners, plus individual prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd men and lady runners. All finishers receive a finisher award, a mince pie and a hot toddy.
It is a well-marshalled course with toilets and changing facilities but unfortunately no showers.
