Thank you for your interest in joining the club - we are now reopening our waiting list for Year 3 and above. If you are interested in being added, please email us with your child's name and current school year group.

Volunteers

Taunton Athletic Club is run by a fantastically dedicated team of volunteers, who are crucial to the success of the club.

There are a huge range of volunteering roles, from admin support, being a committee member, coaching, coaching assistants, team managers, marshalling at events, helping around the track and club house and helping with the club shop, to name just a few.

Who are we looking for :

Current members of the club and their families
Retired athletes
Ex-members of TAC
Members of the community with an interest in sport
People looking for volunteering roles including D of E students
Anyone

No experience is required but it could provide you with some valuable experience for the future.
Time commitments can range from only a few hours each year to a couple of hours each week.
Opportunities for everyone no matter your age.

We hope that you can see there are no barriers to volunteering, so please consider giving some of your time and / knowledge to make the club even better than it already is.

Coaching assistants required

Can you help? As the club's membership continues to grow, we need to increase the number of voluntary coaches and coaching assistants. This involves a coaching assistants' course, which the club will pay for. If you think you can help, please email chair@tauntonac.org All the details you need can be found here.

Crowdfunder latest

A massive thank you to everyone who contributed to our Crowdfunder appeal. We raised an impressive £1620 which will go towards essential equipment repairs.

While we're on the subject of thank yous, can we just say thank you so much to Claire Plumbly (Isla Plumbly’s mum) who spends the time Isla is at TAC picking up litter around the track. It is very much appreciated!

Taunton AC Kitshop

The Taunton AC Kitshop is now fully open for you to order 'Training Kit' from the Core Range or 'Competition Kit' from the Bespoke Range. These two distinct parts of the shop allow you to order a large range of items.

The TRAINING KITSHOP is open all year round and the items are usually delivered direct to you within 4 weeks of order. In here you will find Track Suits, Hoodies, Waterproof Coats, Baselayers, Leggings, Bench Coats, Insulated Jackets and various accessories, all with the Taunton AC logo on them.

The COMPETITION KITSHOP is only open for short periods of time throughout the year. These items have to be specially ordered and take about 14 weeks to arrive at the Clubhouse when they are then distributed to you. In here you will find garments that have the Taunton AC horizontal stripes of Navy Blue, Green and White. These include the Taunton AC Vests (which must be worn if you're competing for Taunton AC at any events), Wet Jackets, Hoodies, Beanie Hats and Track Suits. This shop will be closing on November 16th, so please get any orders in quickly to avoid disappointment, as Kitshop only carries a small amount of stock.

Please be aware that the Men's / Unisex garments tend to be larger than you'd expect. We are finding that you generally need to order one size smaller than you would normally be.

You will need to access your MyAthletics account to choose to opt into communications and add an email address if you haven't already done so. This can be done using your URN number (Competition Licence Number) via the link:

www.englandathletics.org/myprofile. You need to click 'forgotten password' the first time you access it. If you don't know your URN it is available at the clubhouse by asking a member of the committee.
