DEVON OPEN MEETING 11.06.17
A small troupe of Taunton AC athletes, ranging from 10 to 15 years old, ventured down to Tavistock in a minibus provided by the club for the inaugural visit to the Devon Open Series.

Amelie McCormack took part in the quadrathlon, consisting of 75m, Long Jump, Vortex Throw, and 600m. She performed well, made some friends, and managed to get plenty of handstand practice in as well.

Fay Graham and Maisie Thorpe both took part in the Under 17W Long Jump, Javelin and Triple Jump, with Fay also doing the High Jump. Both did well and represented the club admirably. Fay's most notable achievement, arguably, was managing to get a free muffin due to an accounting error.

A good day was had by all, with more visits by the club to these fantastic meetings sure to be popular with a range of athletes. The next trip is set to be to Plymouth on Sunday 16th July.
