Well done to everyone who took part in the County Championships at the weekend.  There were many notable successes for Taunton AC athletes, particularly amongst the Under 20 men!

A 47.48 seconds PB and new club record propelled Tom Bennett (coach: James Kidd) to the top of the UK Under 20 rankings, and earned him an international vest at the Loughborough International this weekend.

​

A time of 5 mins 58.32 secs and a massive PB over the 2k steeplechase for Dillon Millard (coach: Dave Lee) also put him at the top of the Under20 rankings.

​

And a 62.43 metres javelin throw from Ben Jones (coach: Simon de Wilton) moved him to third in the UK Under 20 rankings. 

 

Meanwhile Alice Murray-Gourlay (coach: Charlotte Fisher) who was runner-up at last year’s British Champs and set a world best for the mile steeplechase earlier this month will make her international debut for Team England at the 3k steeplechase.
