LONDON MARATHON FROM SHARRON

What a fabulous couple of weeks for Team TAC , with some stunning times out there….

You all truly make us so proud with your hard work and amazing never say die attitude.

Here’s a round up of your triumphs! 👏💪

Boston USA

A cheeky work trip for the week, coincided with the Boston marathon (funny that eh?) with Iain Cain setting his sights on one of the majors.

Having struggled over the winter months with injury, Iain managed to string together some great sessions and got to the start line, managing to do 3 minutes quicker than his target time in 2.57.05. 🤗

Corsham 10K

A favourite for John Wilkinson with family connections.

Having done it myself a couple of times (for the same reason) , I can say it’s not a flat course!

However John smashed it out of the park, running 20 minutes quicker than in 2025, in a PB time of 52.34!💪

London Marathon….

It never really seems fair that the weather sides with the spectators on race day here…… the vast majority of events in a least the last decade have been stonkingly hot….. so absolutely hats off to you runners once again in that heat.

From the seasoned marathoners…Emma and Russ…to the rest of you who were all marathon virgins……what a day you have had!

Plenty of us have done marathons… but only you guys can say (to anyone who will listen to you 🤭), that you were there when the sub 2 hour marathon mark was broken officially….. not by just 1, but 2 runners…… amazing!

Russ Roberts was first TAC runner home in 2.53.

Emma Kiernan was close on his heels in 2..55.10. (PB by 2 minutes…. Oh and did you see her splits?) Libby Rossiter (who you may remember doing the Taunton 10K with us when still a junior), is now all grown up and banging out a 3.34.46.

Stacey Walker…. 4.54.33, was planning on viewing the sights and taking pics….. hope that happened!

Charlotte Fisher… who didn't really think her name would come out of the ballot 🤣…. Stuck to her game plan and did it  in 4.57.18

Becca Holder…. Derailed by knee injury, was determined to be there on the day ….. sheer guts and determination saw her through….. with the bravest 6.15.16!

Looking forward to seeing all the bling everyone ❤️

Happy running
